She is a nationally recognized lecturer and educator on body/mind, sensory and complementary medicine, psycho-neuro-immunology, cells and the sacred. This is the site of the people working toward saving Lake Pergusa in Sicily, Italy. The Lake is a vital way station to 104 water bird species. This biologically unique lake is sacred to the Goddess Persephone because it is ancient, sacred, and seasonally turns red due to naturally occurring bacteria. Currently, this "Lake of Blood" is slowly dying because it has been encompassed by a race track! Really. Such an important Earth treasure must be kept alive - for us as well as for the migrating birds. Check this site out, and do what you can.

During the years from 1758 to 1782 Charles Messier, a French astronomer (1730 - 1817), compiled a list of approximately 100 diffuse objects that were difficult to distinguish from comets through the telescopes of the day. Discovering comets was the way to make a name for yourself in astronomy in the 18th century -- Messier's aim was to catalog the objects that were often mistaken for comets.

A fascinating site with views of celestial bodies, nebulas, and entire galaxies thousands of light-years from us. These images get the mind stirring while it considers it's own point of origin in the universe.
